January 2010 Thoughts & Reflections

newyearIt is exciting to be living in the first month of a brand new decade!  Christian Life Center had a great year last year with many new people coming into the church.  It is still a thrill to witness the life transformation that takes place each time a person puts their trust in Jesus Christ!  This past Sunday we baptized our first person for 2010.  I am believing that we will see many more people come to the Lord this year!

Recently, our staff and leadership team met to make plans for this year and several major events were placed on the schedule.  In February, we will be hosting a new members dinner that will allow our leadership team to showcase their individual ministries.  We also made plans to host our first “RAIN Conference” (Reaching African Immigrants in North America).  RAIN will come in May and we expect to witness the Glory of the Lord as he fills the house.  Newly appointed IntraCultural Missionary Evangelist Edwin Forkpa will be one of the main speakers for this conference.  Brother Forkpa is from the country of Liberia, West Africa and was very influential in establishing churches during one of most horrific civil wars in modern history.  We are looking forward to what God will do as we reach for the thousands of immigrants who have made their home here in the greater Minneapolis Metro area.

If you are living in the western suburbs of Minneapolis, and you are looking for a church that is reaching our world with the gospel, why not join us for an exciting year of evangelism!
