Memorial Day

MemorialDayFlag“One nation under God…” I believe that as a nation we definitely have been blessed because as a whole we have put our trust in the living God. Our country was founded on Judeo-Christian principles.  The Bible used to be read in our schools and was honored as the Word of God.  It’s not hard to see that things have changed.

In the past forty years we have seen a steady spiral downward of our nation’s moral conduct. Did it start with the sacrifice of our children with the onslaught of Roe vs. Wade?  Although abortion spans history, the 20th century response is unique. Now, not only does the government allow abortion, it has placed its stamp of approval on the practice of killing the unborn. It has allowed a largely unregulated industry to be built upon the premise that life in the womb has no value.

The legislative body in Minnesota has just recently put its stamp of approval on same sex marriage.  What God calls an abomination is now the law of this state.

What can we do as people of faith?

I think we pray… 2 Chronicles 7:14 says, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

I think we must continue to preach the Word of God and pray that our great God brings healing and restoration to our country!  I am committed as a Pastor to do just that!  Memorial Day helps us stop and remember those who have given their lives for the freedom we enjoy in the United States of America. Let’s join together and pray some memorial prayers for a change back to righteousness and the holiness of God!

Join us each week at Christian Life Center as we proclaim the Word of God!  Come expecting miracles!
